Lemon Ginger Honey tea is one of the most preferred warm drinks for those who are fortunate enough to learn about its ability to improve health. It has the ability to boost the immune system, aid in digestion, soothe pain, improve cognition, regulate blood sugar, reduce fever, and promote healthy hair and skin.

Trust me, there is no better drink to beat a cold than a steamy cup of ginger lemon tea with some honey in it. When I had covid, I drank one cup in the morning and one in the evening and it helped me in ways I cannot even begin to explain.


Surely there is no lack of information or recipe availability for this popular drink, but I figured I’d include it as a healthy favorite Go-To-Drink!!


Benefits of Lemon Ginger Honey Tea


Despite it being referred to as a tea, it is actually an infusion of lemon juice and ginger root, with no requirement for any tea leaves. Both Lemon and ginger are considered to have antioxidant and immune-boosting effects, aiding in stimulation of the metabolism.

Lemon and ginger were important components of traditional medicine for decades and are impressive for health whether being used individually or together. Honey also comes with its own health benefits and adds great taste and flavor too.

Lemon Ginger and Honey Tea Recipe

Ingredients

4 cups water

1 lemon

1 piece ginger root (5-7 cm)

2 tsp honey or to taste







Method

Start by rinsing the ginger- you don’t want dirt in your tea.

Bring the water to a boil in a pot and remove from the heat

Cut lemon and ginger into thin slices and add to the hot water.

Steep for 5-10 minutes, strain and pour into a mug.

Add honey, stir, and enjoy hot or cold.


Depending on which flavor you like best, you can crush the ginger for more flavor or keep a fresh lemon slice on the side for a bite of citrus and for variety you may also add some green tea leaves.
